(More customer reviews)These dates are wonderful! They are moist on the inside and deliciously sweet/complex/creamy/caramelly in flavor. I've bought dates in the past that have a "papery" outer layer that is unpleasant; these do not have that issue. These are NOT the dates you find in the baking section of your grocery store - nothing wrong with those for baking, but these are much better & good for snacking or eating as they are.
I like these for dessert. I have a 1/2 Cup of plain Greek yogurt (Fage 2% is my favorite) & 1 or 2 of these dates. My sweet tooth is completely satisfied by the dates and the yogurt is like eating pudding; delicious and healthy. Also great as an appetizer: just make a slit in the date, take the pit out & put in goat cheese, blue cheese, mascarpone or any creamy cheese. Warm them under the broiler for about 3 minutes or skip the broiler & eat at room temp. Or go all out & wrap bacon or prosciutto around the stuffed date & broil for about 4-5 minutes, turning them after about 3 minutes. The combination of salty and sweet is delicious.
The package has the "Packed Date" and the "Best By Date" on the back. I received my dates on 5/22/10....they were packed on 3/15/10 and will be best by 9/15/10.
I have not found it necessary to store the dates in the refrigerator and I prefer to eat them at room temperature. I just store them in an airtight container in the cupboard after opening the package; of course they aren't lasting long in my house!
The plastic container is recyclable: 1 PETE
UPDATE 10/2010: I've now ordered these dates 3 times. This last time, I noticed the dates are not as nice as the first 2 times...not bad, just not fabulous. They are a bit more papery skinned & there are dry "lines"/patches on some. Also, the packer has stopped putting "Packed On" dates on the packaging. Now there is just a "Best By" date. I prefer the old way because then I know how old they are when I get them. The inside of the date is still very good, creamy, delicious. Perhaps these dates are older? Or maybe weather conditions have been poor for the grower? These are an agriculture product grown organically so weather can be an issue. I'll order another batch when I finish these & let you know how they are.
UPDATE 1/2011: I ordered again & this batch was similar to the previous (10/2010) batch - several (maybe 25%) dates in each package with papery skins & dry line/patches. However, I still enjoy these eating dates.
UPDATE 2/2011: I decided to order the non organic version of these dates to see how they compare & maybe save a couple bucks. I concluded that the organic version is superior but the non organic is good too. FYI/ I reviewed them on their page:

Be careful not to over-cook them because they are very tender and will fall apart, still tasty though. The soup I make calls for sauteed carrots, celery, & onion. Add ham or sausage if you wish. 1 garlic clove, oregano, salt (if you haven't added salty ham), and optional hot pepper flakes. It is very hardy and filling. Caution: Lentils can be difficult for diabetics to handle.

You can have *eight* of these (about the size of a standard rice cake) for only 1 WW Point. I rarely eat more than two at a time, because they are pretty filling, and I add a bit of extra salt, but that's just me.
I just wish Amazon had these on subscribe and save -- as it is, we run out much too soon.

(More customer reviews)I lived in Germany and have consumed my share of gummi bears. :) These sugar free bears are very good. This type of candy suits itself to sugar free treatment. Much like hard candy. You don't get the big taste difference like you do with lots of the chocolate sugar free treats.
A word on some of the reviews listed here on Amazon... Sugar Free candies are not meant to be eaten by the handfull. Sugar Free is mostly made for people that can't process the Sugar and people that are in this category have all learned from experience, you don't eat Sugar Free sweets in any large amount.
I have a mild case of Type II which I am gratefully able to control by diet alone and can tell you personally that these candies are very good if you are in a Gummi mood. The affect on my blood sugar is typical of this sort of treat. Just as I wouldn't eat 50 carbs of anything, a snack of this type is only around 10 bears.
People living with health issues concerning Blood Sugar understand the requirement. Those just looking to cut carbs or lose a bit of weight may want to re-think eating most sugar free treats and look into other type of sweets to satisfy.

If you follow the directions on the box and don't overcook, this is a perfect substitute. I will rinse it with cold water to stop the cooking process exactly. *15 grams of premium whey isolate
*23 vitamins and minerals
*3 servings of fruit/veggies
*antioxidants = to 4 cups of tea
*free of lactose, gluten, soy and caffeine
It doesn't end there. Although the product contains a little too much sugar, it is at least organic cane sugar and organic evaporated cane juice. The product itself is not organic but rather all-natural. But how does it taste? My first impression was how much it tastes like vitamins, but not necessarily in a bad way. It reminded me somewhat of a liquid yogurt drink with a vitamin-like taste. The product is perfect for replenishment after a workout or perhaps a quick pick-me-up in the morning for breakfast while driving to work.
Other positives:
*no trans fats
*370mg potassium
*70% RDA of vitamin C
*3g of dietary fiber
The one negative I did find with the product is the price. Even buying in bulk at a case of 12 the price still averages over $2.00 a bottle. If that is of no concern to you and are looking for a healthy drink you can't go wrong with this product.

(More customer reviews)I first heard about steel cut oats on the Oprah show about its health benefits. First of all I DO NOT like regular oatmeal like you buy in the grocery store. I don't like the slimy texture. But I figured I'd try steel cut oats and I'm glad I did. They are delicous and very good for you! The warm nutty aroma when they are cooking is very appetizing and when you add a little bit of sugar or splenda and some cinnimon, it tastes fantastic! I also sometimes skip the cinnimon and add a tablespoon of granola and/or some dried berries. Excellent healthy breakfast. I highly recommend this product.
For those of you who are asking what the difference is between regular oatmeal and steel cut oatmeal:
-Steel-Cut Oats are whole grain groats (the inner portion of the oat kernel) which have been cut into two or three pieces using steel discs. Golden in color and resembling mini rice particles, they are as nature intended - nothing added and nothing taken out.
-Rolled oats are flake oats that have been steamed, rolled, re-steamed and toasted. Due to all of this additional processing they have lost some of their natural taste, goodness and texture.

They are tasty enough to enjoy alone, but are an excellent base for cheese (especially Jarlsberg) or spreads.
Finn Crisps keep well for long periods of time (like a year), so don't be concerned about ordering 9 boxes.
There are no longer any stores in my area that carry this product, so I'm grateful to Amazon for making them available.
PS: The box shown under the title, "Finn Crisp Original" rye mistakenly shows the multi-grain version, but you do get the original plain rye.
