(More customer reviews)These sandwich thins are a great alternative to bleached, high fructose corn syrup induced hamburger buns for sure. I eat these on top of organic veggie burgers from Amy's, and the taste of the burger mixed with the whole grain sandwich thins is incredible. I'm sure these can be used for multiple other things, even PB+J. The health content in them is exceptional and unlike other buns, you don't have to worry about fishy ingredients. The price in the store I got these from was around 2 dollars, and for these that is a great price.

(More customer reviews)This mix saved my life. After being diagnosed with celiac disease, I tried all the "great" gluten-free bread machine recipes I could find (I am awful at baking bread by hand). They were all uniformly and unequivocally TERRIBLE. They were dense, didn't rise properly, caved in at the top or sides, etc etc etc. They also all tasted very gluten-free.
This mix, though is wonderful. It rises, sticks together very well for a fluffy gluten-free bread (it still has the tendancy to fall apart if not toasted), makes wonderful croutons and stuffing, browns properly and only occasionally caves in a little bit.
Things I have learned with this mix that help it a great deal:
1. Let the loaf sit in the bread machine for at least 20 minutes after it stops baking. (I have the standard Oster bread machine that was popular when the bread machine rose to popularity.)
2. Make it with rice milk. To me, cow's milk and almond milk taste funny with this recipe.
3. Let it cool for a good long while, it is very moist and will fall apart if you try to slice it immediately.

(More customer reviews)I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease a year ago. The hardest part of going gluten free has been that the only gluten free breads that are readily available are white and doughy. I have made one myself using a variety of flours, but it still doesn't have that whole grain taste/mouth feel.
When I tried this bread after making it in my bread machine, I almost cried. It was delicious, texture was heavenly, and it was simple to make! Cheap too, especially if you sign up for the automatic reorder deal.
It doesn't seem gluten free and it actually has a decent amount of fiber in it.
I love Bob's Red Mill and Amazon too!

Here is how you eat it: toast it 2 or 3 times on the high setting in your toaster watching it carefully until it just caramelizes on the edges, not burning it. Then put butter on it which dissolves beautifully when it is very hot and sprinkle with a little Splenda or your favorite jam. It's out of this world! And, 7 grams of whole soluble fiber per slice. Four slices of this and you can quit for the day, it has so much fiber. I have it for breakfast every day that I do not have steel-cut oatmeal. That way I start the day off with my fiber. Fiber has the ability to suck up 15% of the fat in your diet. It's like natural Alli Weight-Loss Aid, Orlistat 60mg Capsules, 90-Count Starter Pack (prescription Xenical) without the pricetag.

Namaste is the bread my husband always tells me is the tastiest, although he has no idea which brand he is eating. I add ground nuts and some almond flour to all bread mixes because he preferred whole wheat bread before the GF diet. The nuts make the texture more like whole wheat. I have used walnuts, pecans and almonds chopped in a small processor.

This makes for a heck of a snack, both with coffee mid-morning or in the afternoon when you get those snack machine cravings. I throw one into my lunch bag when I go to work and feel confident that I will feel satisfied with my cakie snack. I buy them frozen and then microwave them on defrost till they are warm. This method has always yielded good texture and flavor. Enjoy.

They are still strong enough to support hummus or other spreads you may like to use. However, they are also very delicious by themselves. Sometimes you just want something to crunch without wasting a lot of calories on chips or other fattening foods, and a stick of celery isn't what you had in mind. I keep these in the pantry all the time. They are low sodium and contain just 20 calories per cracker.

I have to use the manual cycle and bake it in the oven in two pans, as my bread machine has only a 1-1/2 lb. capacity. The first time I used it, the bread rose so high it popped the top off and didn't finish baking. So if you don't have a 2 lb. machine, you'll have to bake it in the oven.

We've been gluten-free, casein-free and egg-free for almost 2 years and it's hard to find a bread that tastes like the real thing. This bread looks and tastes more like a light wheat bread.It's not as dry as the tapioca bread and has a better, nuttier flavor. My son likes it a lot and he's an extremely picky eater. We ordered it in bulk with the 6 loaves and had no problem with mold like a previous reviewer reported.Very happy customers!!!
