(More customer reviews)As a big cereal fan I like to try out new products (especially when on sale :). I am very happy to have picked this one up! The cereal is similar in taste and shape to Cap'n Crunch, but the pieces are smaller and more wholesome (made with Kashi's 7 Whole Grains).
My general criteria for cereal is that it should have a reasonable amount of fiber and less than 10g of sugar. This particular cereal has an even fiber/sugar ratio (6g each) so you know it is healthy. The honey taste is great and hits you right away with each bite.
Highly recommended for those who want a healthy cereal with a better taste than Cheerios or Oatmeal.

I received my shipment of these delicious spelt flatbread krackers this week. However the "sell by" date on each package is a week old. They seem to be fresh enough now, but I am wondering about how long they will keep past the sell by date. It also makes me wonder about other Amazon orders and the sell by dates on them. I will be wary of ordering other items with a short shelf life.

Made completely from certified organic ingrediants, this product is an excellent choice for the health conscious. And the price here at Amazon is a great buy in comparison to any local retailer.

Try a weetabix biscuit with butter and jam (sugar and fat free if dieting) or a dollop of yogurt with fruit. Very tasty!
You can also crumble it up, mix in some melted butter and make a crust for just about anything.

The taste and texture that these little balls of yumminess produce is just amazing. There are some many different ways to prepare it and so many dishes and side-dishes you can make with it. I just can't say enough good things about this pasta.
If you take a little bit of extra time to toast these babies before you cook them up, talk about a completely different level of taste.
From entrées, to side-dishes, I have yet to find a way I couldn't prepare this couscous. Italian style, with chop suey (as a replacement for rice), even mexican style. This is probably one of the most versatile foods on the planet.
You will not be disappointed.

(More customer reviews)As someone who is sensitive to chemicals in foods, I was very upset when Malt O Meal who mass produced Puffed Wheat stopped. The only other product available to me was Quaker, but that had BHT preservatives in it which set off allergic reactions.
Being desperated I tried Arrowhead Mills product and was so grateful it is just puffed wheat without anything else.
For people who have eaten enough puffed cereals, they will know that some taste burnt and some are light puffed. This comes from a process where one company explodes the grain in puffing by heating the grain which toasts it and another more modern method which uses steam pressure.
It is either the heat or steam pressure which when released which causes the grain to "puff".
Arrowhead Mills is the toasted type and it is very good. It also unlike the steam pressure or the old Malt O Meal type not as perfected in that it is a bit more crunchy like the original puffed wheat of a century ago.
For those with allergies, I believe the toasting makes the product less inflamatory to the body in "killing" the oils, germ and hull which affect many people.
The bags are small, but surprisingly one can get around 7 bowls of cereal out of them.
The puffed wheat is though like all puffed wheat in softening readily in milk, but as stated the packages I have the puffed wheat has a bit more texture like original puffed wheat.
I was quite pleased with this product and hope to have it stocked locally. It was good enough for me to even consider purchasing puffed millet in the future.

(More customer reviews)It seems that the difference between the black Quinoa (this product) and the regular (white?) quinoa is that the black still has the edible hull on it. Any quinoa is healthy and nutritious but I prefer the regular (white) version. The black quinoa is heavier in the stomach, more filling and does not pick up the taste of garlic or other seasonings or flavors added to it as well as the regular quinoa dies.
I suspect the black version has a lot more fiber than the white due to the hulls and as a result may prove to be the ultimate colon cleanse diet.
Either one seems to cause a lot of flatulence, though it generally seems to be a rather harmless, inert, odorless gas. You may find that you startle people around you as you backfire but you are not likely to injure or poison or overcome anyone with your pungent odors.

(More customer reviews)I was looking at many different companies that have the whole wheat pearl couscous (israeli couscous), and I found that ROLAND is the most qualified company, and even 10 lb is a bit big quantity, but I don't regret because I saved money and the product last for a long time, also it is healthy and can be used mainly for breakfast and dinner, and as a quick recipe, broil what you can eat in the water (don't put too much) till it is absorbed, then add some milk (organic is preferable for complete healthy meal) then heat it,now you have three options, enjoy it as it is, add some salt (organic), or some honey (organic) if you want it sweet, instead of honey you can use maple serup (organic). ENJOY

(More customer reviews)I have been a fan of Nature Valley granola bars for years. They come in many varieties. My favorites lately have been the Pecan Crunch and Peanut Butter bars. So, I was pleased to learn that Amazon now offers the bars in their many different types.
Certainly, Oats and Honey are a classic combination. Oats go way back. Samuel Johnson included a definition of oats in his 1755 Dictionary of the English Language. I have adapted liberally from his definition for my title. Actually, Samuel Johnson said: "Oats: A grain, which in England is generally given to horses, but in Scotland appears to support the people." Little did he know that two and a half centuries later, England's colonial offspring would enthusiastically endorse oats as a food for people.
Earlier this month, I spent a week skiing in Colorado at Vail, The ticket counters were equipped with baskets of the Oats and Honey bars provided free of charge. It was a nice gesture considering the almost $100 daily ticket price. The granola bars pack nearly 100 calories for a single bar, and obviously double that for a two-bar pack.
I took the Oats bars with me skiing, but I also depend on them for hiking. An extra 200 calories is what you may need to give you enough energy to get up the last 200 feet to a mountain summit. The taste is good. They do not melt. If you get tired of the Oats, there is always a choice: Pecan, Almond, or Peanut Butter, to provide variety.

(More customer reviews)Originally, I felt the same way the other reviewer did about these, but then my boyfriend told me to add about a tablespoon of oil to the water (maybe a little more) as they were cooking and they weren't all clumpy and sticky anymore. They work great for me as I can't eat gluten and brown rice pasta seems to raise my blood sugar more than I'd like. The corn in quinoa pasta is out for me too! Allergies. This is a perfect alternative so I'd highly recommend it. It tastes good in stir fries and with tomato sauce!
Update: Oddly, I did the oil thing and they still got clumpy this past time. We discovered if you rinse them with water while they are in the strainer, as soon as you take them out of the pot, they separate and are perfectly normal again. Hope this helps!
