If you like Nutella, and your local grocer doesn't carry it (or even if they do, in some cases), this is a very good buy even with shipping costs included. There are a number of reviews for Nutella available on Amazon -- it's a decadently rich chocolate/hazelnut spread that needs no refrigeration, and is wonderful on everything from croissants to graham crackers to fruit. This 6-pack ensures that you'll have plenty on hand! The cost per jar (including the shipping charges) is actually less than my local grocer charges.

(More customer reviews)If this had the same amount of calories as ice cream, or even frozen yogurt, I would be giving the product 1 star. However, part of the appeal of Arctic Zero is that it is so low in calories. It is important to note that this is not ice cream nor does it taste like ice cream. I found that when I ate it straight out of the carton, it had a slightly weird aftertaste.
My advice to anyone who orders Arctic Zero is that you should go into it with the idea that you're going to get a frozen protein shake rather than the idea that you're going to get an amazing ice cream for only 64 calories for a cup. That would be too good to be true.
While I wouldn't eat Arctic Zero (at least not the chocolate peanut butter, which is the only flavor that I've tried) plain, I found that it does make for a good base for shakes (although, I would probably not purchase this product again). When I mixed it with a few other ingredients like milk, ice, fruit, cocoa powder, better 'n peanut butter, etc. I found that the strange aftertaste disappeared and I was left with a distinct chocolate flavor with a hint of peanut in the background.
Again, I will warn you, do not spend the money for this product if you're hoping to find a low calorie ice cream substitute. As I stated above, that's not what you're going to get!
Edited to add: I have to add one thing that I'm hoping that I'm wrong about. I'm wondering if the company is writing some product reviews to encourage (or mislead) others to buy their product. I certainly don't want to point the finger at anyone. However, I find it hard to believe that there are so many reviews that state that the product tastes like a rich and decadent desert. I find it hard to believe that anyone would claim that this product is mind-blowingly good or that it could be compared to regular ice cream, unless they had something to gain by doing so. Read the reviews for yourself and pay attention to the dates in which they were written as well as the fact that the good reviews seem to be rated as helpful, whereas the bad reviews are frequently either rated as unhelpful or are commented on by someone who seems to be invested in Arctic Zero. Perhaps I am wrong, as I have no real evidence to support my assumption. However, something doesn't seem quite right, and that needs to be addressed considering how pricey the product is.

South Beach Cereal Bars are decidedly not what he had in mind. The ingredient list could not be read aloud in one breath. Or two. It contains things that sound bizzare (fractionated palm kernel oil) or frightening (Invert Syrup).
And yet.
For the hungry weight-lifter or the person on the run, things could be a whole lot worse. How many of us, trapped in an airport or rest stop or the short pause between a workout and a return to work, eat something that is truly awful? We go for a junk burger or a bag of chips or a giant soda.
These little (35gm) bars offer ten grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber in a mere 140 calories. There's five grams of fat, two of which are saturated, to stave off hunger later on.
How do they taste? Compared to food, they're not very good. Try a nibble of real peanut butter before you eat one and you'll find the bar to be almost tasteless. Compared to other 'foods' in their category, they're quite tasty and they leave your mouth feeling uncontaminated with a toasty sort of aftertaste.

I really like the taste of these, and their 22g of protein is the highest content of any of the protein bars that I regularly eat - Cliff Builder, Kashi, and Promax being the others. They are also fairly high in electrolytes with 360mg of Sodium and 260mg of Potassium, and these are important to those who train hard and need the extra minerals. The one downside to these is that their sugar content (at least in part) comes from corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup. The other products that I mentioned avoid this by using more natural sources such as evaporated cane juice. Because of the sweetener, I do not use any of the Snickers products as my primary protein bars. I use them more as a change of pace to keep from burning out on the others. For the more nutritious conscious, I would recommend products from Cliff, Kashi, or Promax. While these are better than a regular candy bar, you can still do better.

This is especially amazing for this flavor because it is chocolate - something I crave every afternoon and evening. (More customer reviews)Both of those sugars can be purchased cheap at any low carb online store (netrition has it for $7.50 for 1 lb!), and if I can purchase it that cheap, then you KNOW they're getting it dirt cheap. The price is high because low-carbers are desperate for sweets that won't add much to their daily carb intake; and Low carb specialties (the makers of these bars) know it. I've purchased these bars twice before and loved them; but I took the price personally. Yes, it's true, no one forced me to purchase them, but that's besides the point. You end up feeling like prey every time you see the price of your favorite items through the roof when you're desperate for something sweet. EVERY producer of low carb sweets pull that stunt; however, you'll find all your "non-sweet" products, such as condiments, etc., moderately priced. It's no coincidence. If you have the time, purchase ghirardelli unsweetened chocolate from Amazon, add a sucralose sweetener (preferably in liquid form, so there's no carbs), add some cream, melt and you're done. You just saved 2/3 what you would've payed for these chocolates. Any other sweets you find online can be duplicated with minimal effort as well. Just google it and fatten that purse.

They really ruined a good thing. When the new version appeared at the local store I bought some and did not tell my family that it was a different ingredient list. The comments went like this: "This isn't the same" "This tastes like a cheap chocolate bar" "Do you have any Lindt 70% chocolate?" and so it went. When my current stash of the old style is gone I will be looking for a new favorite bar. I still find the old style once in a while, but I am afraid that it will be gone for good unless it can be ordered from a European supplier.

So far, deep chocolate is my favorite. It is the most moist of all the chocolate flavors. Also, by ordering through Amazon.com, I can bypass the huge shipping fee that the actual website charges. Even with coupon codes, Amazon has been the cheapest way for me to purchase these muffins...After posting this review, the cost of the muffins has increased enough so that it is no longer cheaper to order them online. I hate those dried rinds that most trail mixes contain. This product is more like a "luxury mix" than those trail mixes. At this point in my life I really would like to spend more time in the "mansion" than out on the trail! My favorite is "Fig-Sated". What is really nice about this product is that the freshness and taste is consistant. You really do not get tired of this snack. (More customer reviews)If I am famished from hunger, and a real meal is many hours off, I don't feel bad about eating one of these glorified candy bars as a mini-meal. It is filling and satisfying, and if you put chocolate and peanut butter on a shoe, I'd probably like it. The chocolate coating is formulated for durability and it does that job well, although there is a price to be paid in taste. The filling, however, is the best part. Peanutty and chewy, the grains, chocolate and peanut butter combine brilliantly leaving me wanting another one or three.
The problem with bars like this is that they are neither plain candy bars nor real nutrition, and they have to balance the great taste of candy with the fact that they actually have to have some nutritional value to compensate for the huge premium the makers charge for this bar over a plain old candy bar. Kashi does this better than most of the competition, and their bar is a bit larger and sturdier than most, which makes it the first choice for my gym bag or purse for an emergency meal.
Try not to let these slip from "emergency food" to "substitute for lunch" or "regular snack." These bars, although healthier than candy, are not a real meal, do not have the fiber and nutrients to hold you over to the next real meal, and are a lot more candy bar than piece of fruit. These are good to keep in a bag for a day when you have no alternatives, but if you find that there are too many emergencies to be good for your health or your waistline, try putting an apple in that purse instead.

(More customer reviews)I learned about these in my weight watchers meetings where it came up that you could have a pretty good chocolate muffin top with chocolate chips for 1 point (100 cals with 6 grams of fiber and low fat). This makes for a heck of a snack, both with coffee mid-morning or in the afternoon when you get those snack machine cravings. I throw one into my lunch bag when I go to work and feel confident that I will feel satisfied with my cakie snack. I buy them frozen and then microwave them on defrost till they are warm. This method has always yielded good texture and flavor. Enjoy.

I asked around and apparently the metal taste comes from an unhealthy change in the soy nut starches during frying. I got online in search of an organic version of this product and I found one by a company named Landgarten who produces a variety of Chocolate Covered Organic Snacks. Landgarten cooks their soy beans with hot air at low temperatures to avoid that metallic taste. I ordered 20 packets, which is their case size. I suggest you don't compromise on your health.

Only 100 calories, with 5 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein! And when you put one of these in the microwave for 20 seconds....you get a warm chocolate muffin top with gooey chocolate chips, milk chocolate chunks and white chocolate chips. These satisfy any craving I have for chocolate! I'm so glad Amazon carries these. (Important tip......these are freshly made so make sure you freeze them as soon as you get them!!!)
