Every other oat cereal I tried tasted like hay or worse. Well the search is over. This cereal has great flavor and none of the unnecessary additives. It is crunchy or, if you prefer less crunch, use warm milk and they become chewey, not soggy. You can eat all you want without worrying about loading up on junk. My wife and I eat it all the time. I order it by the case from Amazon and you cannot beat the price. If you like oat cereals, this is it.

(More customer reviews)We recently discovered we have to eat Gluten Free. I am thrilled to find this pasta! I don't know about the others but this one, the spirals are very good! It does not taste identical to regular pasta...we think it is even better. One of the things I was going to miss the most was pasta and now I don't have to!! One note: cook less time than the package says. It says around 16 minutes. I kept a close eye on it and at around 9 minutes it was done. With a sauce or in any recipe, no one will know this is not the real thing! Gluten is becoming a source of many medical problems, not just celiac disease, but also things like autism in children and fibromyalgia.

(More customer reviews)FYI, a single serving size is 1/4 cup (42g) and provides 4g of dietary fiber. Not thinking, I followed the cooking directions - 3 1/4 cup of water and 1 cup of cereal. According to the directions, it makes 3 1/2 cups - 14 servings or more. I was about to eat 1/2 cup to 1 cup of cereal until half way through I reread the packaging and realized that would be 8-16 g of fiber at once - a bit much for me.
It reminds me a little bit of grits in both texture and flavor, and it _is_ very tasty.

(More customer reviews)My son and I tried the Lemon poppyseed biscotti... and maybe it was just a bad patch, but neither of us could actually finish a bite. We both spit it out... it was that bad. Currently, our family is 95% grain free, and I have made cookies using almond flour and honey... so I know what to expect. Again, it could have just been a bad batch or they don't quite have a decent recipe yet, but whatever the case is, we won't be buying these again. I normally only give reviews if I really like a product, but this one was so bad that I don't want other people to waste their money.

Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Homemade Wonderful Bread Mix, 16-Ounce Packages (Pack of 4) Review

(More customer reviews)This mix saved my life. After being diagnosed with celiac disease, I tried all the "great" gluten-free bread machine recipes I could find (I am awful at baking bread by hand). They were all uniformly and unequivocally TERRIBLE. They were dense, didn't rise properly, caved in at the top or sides, etc etc etc. They also all tasted very gluten-free.
This mix, though is wonderful. It rises, sticks together very well for a fluffy gluten-free bread (it still has the tendancy to fall apart if not toasted), makes wonderful croutons and stuffing, browns properly and only occasionally caves in a little bit.
Things I have learned with this mix that help it a great deal:
1. Let the loaf sit in the bread machine for at least 20 minutes after it stops baking. (I have the standard Oster bread machine that was popular when the bread machine rose to popularity.)
2. Make it with rice milk. To me, cow's milk and almond milk taste funny with this recipe.
3. Let it cool for a good long while, it is very moist and will fall apart if you try to slice it immediately.
I hope you enjoy this bread as much as I do!

(More customer reviews)I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease a year ago. The hardest part of going gluten free has been that the only gluten free breads that are readily available are white and doughy. I have made one myself using a variety of flours, but it still doesn't have that whole grain taste/mouth feel.
When I tried this bread after making it in my bread machine, I almost cried. It was delicious, texture was heavenly, and it was simple to make! Cheap too, especially if you sign up for the automatic reorder deal.
It doesn't seem gluten free and it actually has a decent amount of fiber in it.
I love Bob's Red Mill and Amazon too!

(More customer reviews)I was excited to purchase this product because gluten free oat bran has not been available in the US until now...gluten free oats, yes...but not oat bran.For the past two years, I have been purchasing my gluten free oat bran from Canada and have been very pleased with the quality of the product and their customer service. However, I thought I would try this company to minimize my shipping costs.
I received the product quickly; however, when I opened the plastic bag which contained the oat bran, there was a faint, but distinct, odor that I can only describe as sour milk.
I notified the company via e-mail through their website and questioned what I might be smelling and whether I received oats that may have gone rancid. When I did not receive an answer after a few days, I notified them again and added my complaint of poor customer service. I received an e-mail and a telephone message assuring me that their oats were fresh and had a shelf life of another eight months. She further explained that they were raw, unprocessed, unsteamed oats and very nutritious.
Okay, I thought, so maybe oats that are raw, unsteamed, unprocessed and nutritious have an offensive odor. I am always open to eating foods in their most natural state. For a few days, I ate the oat bran each morning even though it had a sour, as well as a sweet taste that I am not accustomed to. I e-mailed the company again to let them know that the odor and taste did not seem right to me. I asked if they would describe to me the odor of raw, unprocessed, unsteamed oats; but after a week, they have not responded.
So either raw, unprocessed, unsteamed oat bran smells like sour milk and has a sour/sweetish taste or the oat bran that I received was rancid. I guess I'll never know since they won't describe to me what it should smell and taste like. Whatever the case, I won't buy it again. I didn't enjoy the taste, as well as the odor.

Recipe cannot be easier:
- 3 large eggs,
- 2 tbs of fructose or honey (can be substituted with sugar),
- 4 cups of spring water,
- 2 + (1/4) cup of teff flour,
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda + 2 tsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice (you can add this mix at the end as a multi-purpose rising agent for any baking).
Usually I use two 10" frying pans at once to make flat pancakes as fast as possible.

If you follow the directions on the box and don't overcook, this is a perfect substitute. I will rinse it with cold water to stop the cooking process exactly. I can even serve it to their non allergic friends and they like it too!
