(More customer reviews)I always liked Cheerios, but have not eaten it for years and years since they put too much junk in them with lots of iron which is not such a good idea for males. Every other oat cereal I tried tasted like hay or worse. Well the search is over. This cereal has great flavor and none of the unnecessary additives. It is crunchy or, if you prefer less crunch, use warm milk and they become chewey, not soggy. You can eat all you want without worrying about loading up on junk. My wife and I eat it all the time. I order it by the case from Amazon and you cannot beat the price. If you like oat cereals, this is it.

(More customer reviews)Having been raised on the typical late 60s/early 70s diet of sugar, grease and salt, I'm unable to choke down a bowl of tree bark and seaweed at 0-dark-thirty. Healthy as it may be, I am not able to live on nuts and berries and chewy, hard foods. I need a little sugar with my morning meal.
Frosted Mini-Wheats are a nice compromise between eating chocolate cake for breakfast (my favorite) or the other end of the health-conscious spectrum, gnawing on those hideously awful grape nuts (otherwise known and described as bite-size gravel bits).
It was my teenage daughter who first turned me on to these miniwheat cereals. Now I eat them right out of the box like a snack. They're full of fiber, quite tasty and not too hard to chew. Speaking as someone who gave up raw vegetables years ago (due to dental woes), the miniwheats are easy on the teeth and good for the body.
Another plus is the nutritional ratings. Now, I know these vitamins are just sprayed on in a massive chemical shower whilst rolling down the conveyor belt, but hey, vitamins are vitamins. One serving (24 little miniwheats) have 25% RDA of all the good stuff and 90% of your daily iron needs.
Of all the flavors, the plain is my least favorite. But, even this flavor isn't too shabby.

It's cheaper than Sam's, and it's the perfect amount of cereal for me so that I don't have to keep going back to the store. And, since it has so many preservatives, it keeps FOREVER. Book arrived in good condition, and the cereal isn't ground into powder, so it's 5 stars!

What I don't care for as much is that this Kashi cereal is too "cinnamony" for me. I don't fault the cereal since it is called "Cinnamon Harvest", after all. However, I would prefer a more subtle cinnamon taste. I like Kashi Autumn Harvest better.

(More customer reviews)I always liked Grape-Nuts Flakes better than Grape-Nuts. The regular Grape-Nuts are too much like chewing gravel to me. The flakes have a great nutty flavor. They do get soggy very quickly, though. Sometimes I like them that way. If you don't like soggy cereal, I recommend cutting the serving in half, eat the first half with milk, then add the second half to the remaining milk. Or just eat fast :)

(More customer reviews)As a big cereal fan I like to try out new products (especially when on sale :). I am very happy to have picked this one up! The cereal is similar in taste and shape to Cap'n Crunch, but the pieces are smaller and more wholesome (made with Kashi's 7 Whole Grains).
My general criteria for cereal is that it should have a reasonable amount of fiber and less than 10g of sugar. This particular cereal has an even fiber/sugar ratio (6g each) so you know it is healthy. The honey taste is great and hits you right away with each bite.
Highly recommended for those who want a healthy cereal with a better taste than Cheerios or Oatmeal.

(More customer reviews)This cereal is ugly. It really looks like one of those "gross" health cereals that your grandma eats as you stare in fear and awe. With great relief, however, I can tell you that it simply tastes like a pleasant mix of wheat flakes and graham crackers. The benefits of the yogurt bacteria, broccoli, and fiber are really great, too, and quickly apparent.
I do have one word of warning. There are some people who eat the half cup of cereal recommended and some people who curl up with a bowl the size of their head in front of the TV. If you fall into the latter category, understand that you have just shifted your digestive system into overdrive. This may surprise you in multiple ways, none of which I will mention.

Try a weetabix biscuit with butter and jam (sugar and fat free if dieting) or a dollop of yogurt with fruit. Very tasty!
You can also crumble it up, mix in some melted butter and make a crust for just about anything.

(More customer reviews)My doctor recommended I go on a wheat free diet for a time. I also was looking for a cereal with a lot of oat fiber for its anti-cholesterol properties. I was shocked to find it nearly impossible to find a cold, oat cereal that does not have wheat in it.
Amazon's description of this product says it contains whole oats, corn, crispy rice and soy flakes. Well, the chief ingredient of their "soy flakes" is WHEAT GLUTEN!
Yes it tastes good, because it is a pile of sugar.
This cereal has 14 grams of sugar per HALF cup!! That is twice as much as Kellog's Sugar Corn Pops and almost twice as much as their Frosted Flakes!!! Who do you know that only eats 1/2 cup of cereal in a typical meal? Even if you limit yourself to a small bowl of 1 cup of htis stuff you are pouring 28 grams of sugar down your throat.
To me, that means any health benefits from the protein or fiber is completely overwhelmed by the fact it has so much refined sugar that it qualifies as being poisonous!!!!
