(More customer reviews)This is a good high fiber breakfast cereal with a high protein content. It does contain some sodium, but has a good potassium/sodium ratio. It has some sugar content (evaporated cane juice) and a good flavor. It generally is found in health food sections of larger supermarkets or in health food stores, and is now available on the Internet. My main complaint is that retailers do not generally carry the hot cereal equivalent (which I managed to get my friend Lisa to carry in her health food store).

(More customer reviews)This is a very good cereal. I like having an organic alternative to shredded wheat. I like the texture and size of the biscuits and that it is lightly sweetened throughout. What I don't care for as much is that this Kashi cereal is too "cinnamony" for me. I don't fault the cereal since it is called "Cinnamon Harvest", after all. However, I would prefer a more subtle cinnamon taste. I like Kashi Autumn Harvest better.

(More customer reviews)As a big cereal fan I like to try out new products (especially when on sale :). I am very happy to have picked this one up! The cereal is similar in taste and shape to Cap'n Crunch, but the pieces are smaller and more wholesome (made with Kashi's 7 Whole Grains).
My general criteria for cereal is that it should have a reasonable amount of fiber and less than 10g of sugar. This particular cereal has an even fiber/sugar ratio (6g each) so you know it is healthy. The honey taste is great and hits you right away with each bite.
Highly recommended for those who want a healthy cereal with a better taste than Cheerios or Oatmeal.

(More customer reviews)This cereal is ugly. It really looks like one of those "gross" health cereals that your grandma eats as you stare in fear and awe. With great relief, however, I can tell you that it simply tastes like a pleasant mix of wheat flakes and graham crackers. The benefits of the yogurt bacteria, broccoli, and fiber are really great, too, and quickly apparent.
I do have one word of warning. There are some people who eat the half cup of cereal recommended and some people who curl up with a bowl the size of their head in front of the TV. If you fall into the latter category, understand that you have just shifted your digestive system into overdrive. This may surprise you in multiple ways, none of which I will mention.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this granola earlier this week and was so impressed I logged back into Amazon tonight and ordered the last 2 boxes. I hope Amazon continues to carry this.
This granola is wonderful - not too sweet, not bitter. Great consistency with recognizable nuts and grains. Really good flavor of nuts, raisins, dried banana, and a hint of cinnamon. It reminds me a bit of a good mixed nut cookie. I normally eat oatmeal in the morning and was surprised and happy to see that this granola is actually higher in protein and lower in sugars than my oatmeal!
I'm the first review on this one, and I'm guessing the two complaints will be #1: the price and #2: some may think it's too sweet. RE: #1, I was surprised when I opened the Amazon box and saw the teeney weeeney little Kashi boxes looking back at me. On the site the picture makes them look like full-sized cereal boxes, but they are half the size of most cereal boxes. This is a quality product and you're clearly paying for it, and I'm sure in some marketing conference room somewhere someone said "We can't charge $8.00 a box for cereal!" and someone else said "Well let's just make the box smaller and sell it for less!" so that's what they did. SO YOU'VE BEEN WARNED, don't go posting negative reviews about that. Ha.
#2...sweetness. I like it. But if you're a "I bake my own granola" or a "I buy my granola from the bin at the health food store" you might find this to be a bit too sweet as I think it is set up for the mass palate which tends to favor more sweetness than the typical health food consumer. However, check out the nutrition facts -- again, 1/3 less sugar than the organic oatmeal I buy. But again, you've been warned.
All in all this is a really good granola and I strongly suggest you give it a try!
PS Edit 1/11/08: The weight of this cereal is the same as the weight of the larger boxed cereals I have in my kitchen...but the box is stunningly smaller.

I purchased these snack bars because they don't contain the usual bugaboos: high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, artificial sweeteners, etc. However, they're mighty hard to chew. And that's *probably* a good thing.
I'm a hardcore fan of Quaker Oats granola bars, because they're a quick snack and they're heavy-laden with sugar, but they also have the HFCS (bad, bad) and hydrogenated oils (bad, bad, BAD). However, they are easy to chew (probably because of the nice, soft plastics they contain). I am striving to slowly back away from the QO granola bars because of their unhealthy and lengthy ingredient list.
The Kashi brand snacks are agreeable to the palate and they do have enough sugar for my personal tastes, but I have a couple crowns and I wonder if my over-priced prosthetic teeth can survive this healthy eating experience.
That being said, these are the snacks of choice for long car trips. For one, I'll never pig out on them and two, they're good for the tummy. They provide a little energy boost and they're high octane fuel for this four-layer bio-suit we call a human body.
I'm working my way through the different flavors. My favorites are the pumpkin spice and peanut butter, yet honestly, I can't discern an enormous difference between these three (pumpkin, PB and honey toasted).

It can be used as a traditional cereal with milk and fruiit added, or it can be used as a dry snack (particularly by people who have an intolerance to milk). It has a higher protein content than some other high fiber cereals, with 13 grams of protein and 10 grams of dietary fiber (9 grams insoluble). It has some sugar (6 grams per cup) and some sodium (85 mg per cup of cereal).

Compared to most healthy (particularly high protein and high fiber) cereals, it has a higher protein and fiber content per serving. As important, it tastes good. Its taste obviously cannot compare to some sugar filled normal cereal, but as health cereals go, this one is a keeper. I eat it 3-4 days a week and have done so for over a year and I still like it! Just note that you may want to buy one box from your local grocery store before buying a six pack from amazon.com just to make sure you like it.
