(More customer reviews)Both of those sugars can be purchased cheap at any low carb online store (netrition has it for $7.50 for 1 lb!), and if I can purchase it that cheap, then you KNOW they're getting it dirt cheap. The price is high because low-carbers are desperate for sweets that won't add much to their daily carb intake; and Low carb specialties (the makers of these bars) know it. I've purchased these bars twice before and loved them; but I took the price personally. Yes, it's true, no one forced me to purchase them, but that's besides the point. You end up feeling like prey every time you see the price of your favorite items through the roof when you're desperate for something sweet. EVERY producer of low carb sweets pull that stunt; however, you'll find all your "non-sweet" products, such as condiments, etc., moderately priced. It's no coincidence. If you have the time, purchase ghirardelli unsweetened chocolate from Amazon, add a sucralose sweetener (preferably in liquid form, so there's no carbs), add some cream, melt and you're done. You just saved 2/3 what you would've payed for these chocolates. Any other sweets you find online can be duplicated with minimal effort as well. Just google it and fatten that purse.

I'm always on the lookout for healthy, sugar-free, vegetarian snacks. These taste great. I'm in love. They taste somewhat like a cross between potato chips and the crunchy fried onions you might find on green bean casserole. They're mildly salty, and not spicy at all (unlike some of the other Haldiran snacks). These do cause a bit of gas in the average person, so just be prepared. But they're easy to eat and I now carry them everywhere. I can't say enough good things about them. If they're sold out here on Amazon, they do sell these moong dal snacks at Indian grocery stores, if you happen to live near one. (That's where I first discovered moong dal.)

(More customer reviews)If you love chocolate, but want to live healthily and avoid all the sugar, here is the perfect solution! These chocolate chips taste delicious, have only 1g carb per serving, and even has 7g of dietary fiber per serving!
First, the flavor. I adore chocolate and have done several chocolate tastings where we compared Godiva, Ghirardelli, Lindt, etc. I generally like a good quality semi-sweet to dark chocolate style. These chips are delicious. This is not some carob-chip chalky flavor that you have to "settle for". It is a real, rich, delicious chocolate flavor. The texture is perfect too.
How they do it is using chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, cocoa powder along with polydextrose. Polydextrose is a soluble fiber (which gives you the 7g fiber per 2 Tbsp serving) - it also provides sweetness.
These are perfect if you're making a healthy style of chocolate chip cookies, perhaps with almond meal. I always have these on hand for ice cream. There are many super recipes for sugar free ice cream - and several manufacturers have low sugar ice creams on the market.
So I start with a vanilla flavor, to keep the base sugar level down low and to give me the greatest number of options. Then sometimes I add in these chips - and voila!! A low sugar version of chocolate chip ice cream, with the chips added in, is just right for an evening dessert snack. You can adjust the chips just right to match your mood!
Now, the only down side here? I've never seen these chocolate chips in a regular store. I've only found them online. This means that I tend to order in bulk to maximize how much I can get for a single shipping fee. It's not a huge deal - I order in a bunch of the chips and random other things - but it doesn't mean I can't just run down to the local market if I really do run completely out. So you need to keep an eye on your stock and remember to resupply when you get down to your last container.
Still, it's a relatively minor problem for a baking supply that is just so tasty. Highly recommended!

Those of us who are familiar with a gf lifestyle would find that this instant quinoa cereal offers good nutrition compared to rice cereals (6 g protein), low sugar (9g), and also the nutrients that are found in quinoa (lots). Also, I believe tastebuds change once you are completely gluten-free, so this wouldn't have the offending texture the other reviewer mentioned to a gf person. My 10-year old daughter likes this cereal, and it sure is a lot more healthy than the gluten free cold cereals, rice bagels, or muffins out there.

(More customer reviews)I lived in Germany and have consumed my share of gummi bears. :) These sugar free bears are very good. This type of candy suits itself to sugar free treatment. Much like hard candy. You don't get the big taste difference like you do with lots of the chocolate sugar free treats.
A word on some of the reviews listed here on Amazon... Sugar Free candies are not meant to be eaten by the handfull. Sugar Free is mostly made for people that can't process the Sugar and people that are in this category have all learned from experience, you don't eat Sugar Free sweets in any large amount.
I have a mild case of Type II which I am gratefully able to control by diet alone and can tell you personally that these candies are very good if you are in a Gummi mood. The affect on my blood sugar is typical of this sort of treat. Just as I wouldn't eat 50 carbs of anything, a snack of this type is only around 10 bears.
People living with health issues concerning Blood Sugar understand the requirement. Those just looking to cut carbs or lose a bit of weight may want to re-think eating most sugar free treats and look into other type of sweets to satisfy.

When we learned about Yes to Cookies!, he was concerned that eating them would kick off a binge. Nothing like that happened. He now can enjoy a cookie or two for dessert without having cravings. And, the cookies are delicious. They taste as good as any carbohydrate-laden cookie. I like them, too!

Very healthy, especially if you use skim milk. This product uses Splenda as a sweetener and my doctor says there are no concerns about Splenda the way there are with Aspartame. This has a nice level of protein and extremely low fat - but not over the top protein like body builders like to supplement, and there's no need for blenders etc. - just spoon stir. I drink some almost every morning and it helps curb my apettite. You can prepare and drink in about one minute. The only issue is it is hard to find in local stores - but you get a better deal on line anyway if you order by the case...

(More customer reviews)Since I am following the weight watchers points plus program and have multiple food allergies as well, I thought this would be a good healthy snack that I would enjoy. Unfortunately the flavor of the added whey protein is so strong that I didnt care for this product at all. If you like or dont mind the flavor of whey then give it a try. However if you find whey protein offensive I would stay away from this product. If Better Bowls would remove the whey and settle for just the protein derived from the added milk I think it would be a very good snack.
