I would highly recommend it to anyone. For awhile I could not get this in my local food markets. I found out the stores had replaced it with Chex Chocolate Bran. There are a number of reviews for Nutella available on Amazon -- it's a decadently rich chocolate/hazelnut spread that needs no refrigeration, and is wonderful on everything from croissants to graham crackers to fruit. When I found them for $2.82 a bag when you purchase a case of 12 I went for it. The taste is great however about a forth of each bag is crumbs. I got a pound of crumbs total out of three bags. Whether this is from shipping or manufacturing I don't know. I won't purchase on line again.

(More customer reviews)Having been raised on the typical late 60s/early 70s diet of sugar, grease and salt, I'm unable to choke down a bowl of tree bark and seaweed at 0-dark-thirty. Healthy as it may be, I am not able to live on nuts and berries and chewy, hard foods. I need a little sugar with my morning meal.
Frosted Mini-Wheats are a nice compromise between eating chocolate cake for breakfast (my favorite) or the other end of the health-conscious spectrum, gnawing on those hideously awful grape nuts (otherwise known and described as bite-size gravel bits).
It was my teenage daughter who first turned me on to these miniwheat cereals. Now I eat them right out of the box like a snack. They're full of fiber, quite tasty and not too hard to chew. Speaking as someone who gave up raw vegetables years ago (due to dental woes), the miniwheats are easy on the teeth and good for the body.
Another plus is the nutritional ratings. Now, I know these vitamins are just sprayed on in a massive chemical shower whilst rolling down the conveyor belt, but hey, vitamins are vitamins. One serving (24 little miniwheats) have 25% RDA of all the good stuff and 90% of your daily iron needs.
Of all the flavors, the plain is my least favorite. But, even this flavor isn't too shabby.

There's so much watery sauce in this product it's tough to find the mini ravioli, which are so small they barely fit anything inside unlike the picture on the outside of the bowl, which makes them look packed with meat.

I never imagined that our cereal would some day be delivered via UPS, but since Amazon's free-shipping price is 1/3 lower than our local Safeway, that's where we get it.
- It tastes great, even with the non-fat milk we've been using forever.
- Dry cereals made from wheat are much more filling than those made from corn, rice, or oats. I have to eat twice as much to be full, if the cereal is made from those grains.
- It stays reasonably crunchy the entire meal, and I have a big bowl every morning.
- It stays fresh in an opened box; although at the rate it's consumed around here, that's usually not very long.
- It stays fresh in an unopened box for many months.
- Good daily dose of fiber, although that's not the reason I eat it.
- The box and inner plastic bag open easily. My wife eats a Kellogg's brand cereal and opens the inner bag with scissors, as it can't be pulled apart.

(More customer reviews)My doctor recommended I go on a wheat free diet for a time. I also was looking for a cereal with a lot of oat fiber for its anti-cholesterol properties. I was shocked to find it nearly impossible to find a cold, oat cereal that does not have wheat in it.
Amazon's description of this product says it contains whole oats, corn, crispy rice and soy flakes. Well, the chief ingredient of their "soy flakes" is WHEAT GLUTEN!
Yes it tastes good, because it is a pile of sugar.
This cereal has 14 grams of sugar per HALF cup!! That is twice as much as Kellog's Sugar Corn Pops and almost twice as much as their Frosted Flakes!!! Who do you know that only eats 1/2 cup of cereal in a typical meal? Even if you limit yourself to a small bowl of 1 cup of htis stuff you are pouring 28 grams of sugar down your throat.
To me, that means any health benefits from the protein or fiber is completely overwhelmed by the fact it has so much refined sugar that it qualifies as being poisonous!!!!

They have a lot of fiber and protein and are very filling and are especially good between meals. I especially like the fruit flavors because they have real fruit, and taste like it. My kids are also drinking these as a snack.
I happen to know a lot about these types of products. These are called "functional foods" and are designed to, well, serve a function. In this case, the idea is that a low calorie, high fiber, high protein snack will make you feel full and thus help you to avoid unhealthy snacks between meals. This will help you to eat better overall or loose weight, if that is your goal. This product is in a new class of foods called "snack beverages" meaning it is---you guessed it---a snack that you drink rather than eat. Not too many of those out yet, but they are coming, and they will be a welcome alternative to potato chips, cookies, donuts, and other snacks.
Overall, I think that this is a great product. It is based on a sound idea, packaged for convenience, and tastes great.

On the plus side, a 60 gram (2.1 ounce) serving is listed as having 7 grams of protein, and has 5 grams of fiber (2 grams soluble fiber) a significant part of which is from oat bran. It also is listed as having 380 mg potassium (11 percent of RDA), 25 percent RDA phosphorus, and 20 percent RDA magnesium. On the down side it has 17 grams sugar and 140 mg sodium. The sugar does give it a good flavor.
It is a flaked cereal, and like most flaked cereals it will get a little soggy in milk if not eaten quickly. I like it better than most other flaked cereals that I have tried. I did add slices of a fresh peach, and it will also go well with a sliced banana or strawberries, etc.

(More customer reviews)Okay, first off...if you can't stand regular Kraft Mac-n-Cheese don't bother with this product. It's a LOT like regular Kraft MnC. It's been made with pasta with 50% whole grain. Okay, nice compromise there; the 100% whole wheat pastas can be a bit grainy tasting but we know we all need less white flour in our diets.
Now, you're discerning 5 year old will probably be able to tell the difference between this and regular Kraft MnC and if he or she is uber-picky about change, demands a certain brand, etc, well, then, this won't fool him. But my kids ate it up fine. The 9 year old barely noticed anything different (but she likes WW pastas), the 7 yo who normally doesn't like WW MnC ate it, although could tell it was WW. The 2.5 year old just kept shoveling it in with his bare hands; I guess that means he liked it.
So in a nutshell, this is a worthwhile product to try if you're kids like Kraft MnC. Same flavor as far as the sauce goes at least. Same shape of noodles. The fiber content for a serving of this is a respectable 5g, up from 1g for the tradtional stuff. Not bad.
Of note is the fact that this product has only 6oz in a box as opposed to the 7.25oz in the traditional MnC.
For comparison's sake, I usually buy the Hogson Mill 100% WW Mac-n-Cheese. I found this a bit milder tasting as far as wheaty-ness goes; makes sense as Kraft uses a blend and HM is 100% whole wheat. My picky eater will eat the Kraft but not the HM. Hope that helps those of you with similar customers to feed. I found the Kraft brand in my stores for a little less money than what it's being sold on Amazon for, but it might be hard to find in the stores for many people.
