There's so much watery sauce in this product it's tough to find the mini ravioli, which are so small they barely fit anything inside unlike the picture on the outside of the bowl, which makes them look packed with meat.

(More customer reviews)Whole grain pasta from a well-known manufacturer? I jumped at the chance to try these out; I also purchased the angel hair variety as well (not sold on Amazon). I was a bit disappointed that they don't make these in the linguine style.
Overall taste- not much difference from regular flour pasta, but the flavor is a little more robust, and I noticed the texture to be somewhat less moist. A little on the dry side and a tad firmer. I'd recommend these and the Barilla Plus Multi-Grain pasta.

The taste and texture that these little balls of yumminess produce is just amazing. There are some many different ways to prepare it and so many dishes and side-dishes you can make with it. I just can't say enough good things about this pasta.
If you take a little bit of extra time to toast these babies before you cook them up, talk about a completely different level of taste.
From entrées, to side-dishes, I have yet to find a way I couldn't prepare this couscous. Italian style, with chop suey (as a replacement for rice), even mexican style. This is probably one of the most versatile foods on the planet.
You will not be disappointed.

(More customer reviews)Okay, first off...if you can't stand regular Kraft Mac-n-Cheese don't bother with this product. It's a LOT like regular Kraft MnC. It's been made with pasta with 50% whole grain. Okay, nice compromise there; the 100% whole wheat pastas can be a bit grainy tasting but we know we all need less white flour in our diets.
Now, you're discerning 5 year old will probably be able to tell the difference between this and regular Kraft MnC and if he or she is uber-picky about change, demands a certain brand, etc, well, then, this won't fool him. But my kids ate it up fine. The 9 year old barely noticed anything different (but she likes WW pastas), the 7 yo who normally doesn't like WW MnC ate it, although could tell it was WW. The 2.5 year old just kept shoveling it in with his bare hands; I guess that means he liked it.
So in a nutshell, this is a worthwhile product to try if you're kids like Kraft MnC. Same flavor as far as the sauce goes at least. Same shape of noodles. The fiber content for a serving of this is a respectable 5g, up from 1g for the tradtional stuff. Not bad.
Of note is the fact that this product has only 6oz in a box as opposed to the 7.25oz in the traditional MnC.
For comparison's sake, I usually buy the Hogson Mill 100% WW Mac-n-Cheese. I found this a bit milder tasting as far as wheaty-ness goes; makes sense as Kraft uses a blend and HM is 100% whole wheat. My picky eater will eat the Kraft but not the HM. Hope that helps those of you with similar customers to feed. I found the Kraft brand in my stores for a little less money than what it's being sold on Amazon for, but it might be hard to find in the stores for many people.

(More customer reviews)I was nostalgic for old-fashioned egg noodle dishes (like casseroles, kugels, and noodles w/ farmer cheese and pepper) but wanted them a little healthier. I don't think that anyone else makes this anymore, but that's o.k. because these are yummy. A healthy trick I've learned is to get a close approximation (trial & error) of how much water the noodles absorb while cooking, then after bringing just that amount of water to a boil, cook the noodles covered on the lowest possible heat occasionally freeing them from the bottom w/ a wooden spatula. That way all B-vitamins and minerals stays in the noodles instead of being lost in the water. It takes a bit of practice not to end up w/ a solid block of noodles. Adding a little oil or butter halfway through cooking helps.
Anyway, whether you cook them like this or using the standard directions, they're delicious and hold together better than some other whole wheat noodles I've tried in the past.

I wanted to start to eat healthier so when I saw this was whole wheat and and on subscribe and save I ordered it. I thought I would give it a try. If I hated it I could always add it to home baked goods. Well I love it. I sauted an onion and added some beef broth and 5 minutes later it was done. It was a side dish tonight but it would make a nice lunch. I am happy I purchased this.

(More customer reviews)I've been eating whole wheat spaghetti for 25 years now- so I guess that makes me somewhat of an expert (That, and the fact that I'm Italian!). This is simply the best whole wheat spaghetti on the market. I only wish I would have discovered this sooner- it is one of the most reasonably priced WW spaghettis, and it just can't be beat. It cooks up very similar to regular white spaghetti- it is not dry or sticky or heavey. For being 100% whole wheat, it is surprisingly mild and soft. I recommend boiling it for 15 minutes- and it is done to perfection. This is the only spaghetti I'll buy. When my local Wal*Mart stopped selling it, I bought a case of it here on Amazon, and it arrived amazingly quickly.

(More customer reviews)This great tasting pasta is a diabetic's Godsend! Being a Type 2 Diabetic, I am always looking for ways to reduce my carb intake. Up till now that has meant avoiding pasta completely since a single serving of normal pasta has about 35 - 40 carbs. This has been one of the biggest impacts to my diet as we love Italian cooking. I was not sure about Dreamfields' claim to only have 5 carbs, but we gave it a try anyway.
After having a full serving, my blood sugar levels only took a modest rise, about what I would have expected from 5 carbs (plus the 15 others from the rest of the meal)!
It does cost more than regular pasta, but it is worth it to me to be able to eat pasta again.
Highly Recommended!
