(More customer reviews)Now that the new "improved" bar is made in NH, USA they seem to think that it has to have soy lecithan and be made for the so called "American taste" as in sweeter and smoother. They really ruined a good thing. When the new version appeared at the local store I bought some and did not tell my family that it was a different ingredient list. The comments went like this: "This isn't the same" "This tastes like a cheap chocolate bar" "Do you have any Lindt 70% chocolate?" and so it went. When my current stash of the old style is gone I will be looking for a new favorite bar. I still find the old style once in a while, but I am afraid that it will be gone for good unless it can be ordered from a European supplier.

If you are a chocolate lover looking to get healthier, the flavor of this thing will knock your socks off. Plus, it's incredible 'insurance' for obtaining a rainbow of organic(!) fruits and vegetables, and therefore a definite energy-booster. (How else would one amass all that stuff?) The packets are so convenient, especially for travel, etc. -- I only need to use about 1/2 of one (for the oatmeal alone) per day. But it also makes a great topping for other things: desserts, smoothies, and more. I have seen this identical product in health food stores for $21.00 ($19.00 when on sale), so being able to get it on Amazon for $17.00, with Free Super Saver Shipping if there's something else that you were going to buy anyway (to make the $25.00 threshold), is a great deal. Do your body and taste buds a favor, and invest in some Chocolate Green Superfood.

(More customer reviews)I've found this chocolate to be a great solution for my low carbohydrate diet. This chocolate only has 5g net carbs per serving, but I find half a serving to be plenty satisfying for a chocolate fix. Also, this has no artificial sweeteners, so I don't have to worry about digestive problems.
If you don't like dark chocolate, you won't like this. But if you're willing to savor the cocoa flavor, this is a great way to eat a small amount of chocolate without a lot of sugar.

And all I can say is...well, I have more natural, clean energy that lasts all day, and my digestion,hormone balance and sleep is MUCH better! I'm buying the bigger jar when I run out of this. Oh, and I keep my jar in the freezer and believe that makes a difference in freshness and quality!
My recipe:
1 scoop Chocolate Amazing Grass
4-6 oz unsweetened soymilk
Ice
Splash of Orange Juice
Half a banana
1 Tbs. Almond Butter.
Makes one 16-oz serving. (or two 8 oz servings).

(More customer reviews)This is the best and best-tasting organic cocoa powder available for the price. That said, it can be found at a better price than Amazon is currently asking. This is NOT hot chocolate. It is pure organic cocoa powder without added sweetener of any kind which means you can add your own sweetener of choice in the amount you like. This cocoa powder is also great for baking.
It mixes easily with water and other liquids if you go about it in the right way: place the desired amount of cocoa powder in a glass or cup, then add a small amount of liquid, hot or cold, stir well till smooth, then add the rest of the liquid and stir again. I use protein drinks daily and prefer chocolate to vanilla but no longer purchase the chocolate flavored protein powders. I get better results by using vanilla protein powder, adding 1 or 2 tsp of NOW Cocoa Powder to the protein powder and then adding liquid and mixing as described above. I trust this brand over whatever generic cocoa powder the chocolate protein powders contain. The protein drink can be improved even more by adding a teaspoon or so of Udo's Choice Wholesome Fast Food Udo's Choice Wholesome Fast Food 16-Ounces before mixing with liquid. That product has almost no taste of its own but is a great way of adding much needed fiber to one's diet and as a bonus makes mixing of the protein powder with liquid much easier - - - no blender required, just mix as above, wait about 5 minutes then drink and enjoy.
