Bob's Red Mill Chana Dal Beans removes the real work. While not exactly garbanzos, Bob's chana dal split beans are a very close cousin. Soak a pound for a couple of hours, rinse, then cook until softened, and run them through the food processor with a little cooking water, tahini, lemon, garlic, cumin, salt, and a smidgeon of turmeric and pepper flakes. One pound dry will make about three pounds of delicious hummus.

Unsweetened Banana Chips; Dried Blueberries; Dried Cantaloupe; Dried Bing Cherries; Dried Mango Chunks; Dried Pineapple Dices; Dried Strawberries; Zante Currants; Dried Thai Guava; Dried Pear Slices; Dried Persimmon Slices; Dried Kiwi Slices; and Dried Starfruit.
I have to give the whole order a rating of 2 stars for several reasons:
1) Most were so heavily coated in sugar it was liking eating a sugar cube.
2) Very slow delivery.
3) No response from vendor on email I sent to them.
These dried pears are definitely the best of all the items ordered, little to no sugar and very tasty. The 5 stars rating is only for the pears, not the vendor. And the pears are the only dried fruit that gets a 5 star rating from me.

The size is useful. There are two bottle pockets on the outside, and two on the inside, a zippered inside pocket, and a pocket for the included changing pad.
It was comfortable to carry as a backpack, messenger, or shoulder bag.
The top zips closed, which is good, because the magnetic snap kept coming undone even when the bag was zipped.
On the first day with this bag, I was concerned about the stress on the seam on the loop that is used to change it from a shoulder bag to a backpack.
On the second day, I found that I didn't need to worry about that, because the buckle that attaches the strap to the bag snapped, leaving me with no way to attach the handle to the bag.
This was a nice bag for the 16 hours that I used it. I would not recommend it unless the buckles are seriously improved. Now I know what to look for in my next bag.

They have added 'fiber' to their All Fruit products. The so called fiber come in the form of maltodextrin, the source of which is not specified. In the grape version of "All Fruit" with Fiber, the maltodextrin comes before any of the grape ingredients. This means that there is more maltodwxtrin in the almost "All Fruit" that grapes.
To top it off, the flavor has changed, the taste is flat.
They have lost me as a customer.

What I received was just plain, cereal-grade grits, about as coarse as regular yellow cornmeal. They're good, mind you, just not what I was led to expect.

(More customer reviews)I was hoping I found a source for "real" grits. I was tipped off that this wasn't the real deal when the label said something about "mush". It fits the definition of mush i.e. soft or soggy mass.
I have been searching for real grits since my supplier retired. He refurbished an old grist mill as a hobby then decided to use the plentiful local corn to mill grits. They were fabulous, the real kind that you had to add water, let the hulls float to the top, pour off the water, add more water, then cook for 45 minutes. Lots of butter, salt, and pepper and there's nothing better.

Most people - myself included - do not get enough fiber in their diet, so I decided to try it. The article was correct - the taste is fabulous. Even my 8 yr old son loves the cereal and if he had any clue it was healthy, he wouldn't be eating it. We have a cup as an afterschool snack quite a few nights each week during homework.

(More customer reviews)Experiments in Japanese cuisine will inevitably lead to soba (buckwheat) noodles. This brand is available locally, but at far greater expense. The flavor is nothing spectacular or intrusive. The texture and flexibility are the selling point. They have been used in Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, yakisoba and stand-alone hot or cold in dipping sauce with excellent results. When properly cooked, the noodles have a wonderful texture and flexibility. It is Japanese-polite to slurp your noodles (suck them in). Regular pasta will not allow that technique, I've tried. These wrap around the chopsticks just right and slurp just fine. I like the ingredients, just wheat and buckwheat flour. The less expensive brand uses wheat with barley etc., that's regular all-purpose flour, ugh. Just a personal preference.

(More customer reviews)If you're overweight or "fat" as some would say, you shouldn't eat this. It's got lots of sugar that's not gonna help you much. But if you're a healthy individual with an insanely efficient metabolism, like myself, eat away. This cereal is top notch, second only to Lucky Charms in my opinion. Each little piece of "toast" is coated in the most delicious sugar/brown sugar mix you will ever expirience, and anyone who specializes in the art of cereal consumption, again like myself, will know that this fact makes for some mouth-watering leftover milk.
I must warn you however, if you searched Cinnamon Toast Crunch here on Amazon, you may have seen the "reduced sugar" version of this cereal. STAY AWAY! If I didn't know any better, I would say they replace the sugar with some sort of beach sand. It tastes terrible and makes you're mouth feel like you just comsumed several sticks of chalk. Stay with the full sugar version and you'll be satisfied.
