(More customer reviews)Having tried just about every fiber-branded cereal there is over the past couple of years, I would always pass by the Cheerios in the cereal section while grocery shopping and look to see if they had released a fiber version yet. Well, I can now happily report that my search for a consistently good-tasting fiber cereal are over. Don't get me wrong, there are a number of other competitor's products out there that are really good (Fiber One Shredded Wheat, for instance) but if you're a normal person, you will probably get sick of eating the same thing for breakfast in a matter of weeks or months. This cereal on the other hand, tastes great and never seems to get boring. It's lightly sweetened- just perfect as it isn't overly sweet or bland in flavor. It is pretty filling as most fiber cereals are, and is best enjoyed immediately after being immersed in milk so you can still enjoy the crunchiness of it(meaning it will get somewhat soggy if left sitting around for too long). I'm tempted to knock a star off for pricing as this is somewhat pricier and smaller-sized than competitors' offerings, but for how good the cereal tastes and the fact that I can't seem to get tired of eating it (going on 5 months now), I'd say its worth it to pay the small premium.

(More customer reviews)These FiberFit bars in Mocha flavor have no HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) nor any transfats, which is a very good thing. Each bar has 4g of fat (2.5 sat fat), 120 calories, 9g of fiber (very good for its size!), 125mg of sodium (not too bad) and 7g of sugars (not bad for a granola bar, since they are often glorified candy bars). My only two concerns nutritionally are that there are 3g of sugar alcohols (I've heard bad things about those) and that there is only 2g of protein. The latter is only a problem if you plan to use these bars as a meal replacement. With all that fiber, it may fill you up for a while, but with that little protein, it is very unlikely to last you to your next meal, esp. given the small size.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the taste. Mocha, a combination of chocolate and coffee flavors, is one of my favorite flavors of ice cream, so I thought I'd probably enjoy this flavor of granola bar and I did. It has a distinct mocha flavor. It is also chewy (and a little gooey due to the caramel layer) and a little crunchy. I rarely ever buy granola bars, but I liked these quite a bit!

(More customer reviews)Like the other reviewer I thought I would take a chance on this cereal due to the excellent price that Amazon has on it (as of this writing) thanks to it being a manager's special. In contrast to them I find the flavor outstanding though; perhaps the other reviewer does not like flax, or (unlikely since we likely received cereal from the same batch) theirs is stale and the flaxseed oil went rancid in theirs?
Regardless, this cereal is a tasty mix of wheat flakes, corn flakes, and a loose 'granola' made up of small oat clusters and fiber "shoots" (sort of like miniature Fiber One), moderately sweetened with a mix of sugar, molasses, and honey. I'll likely be ordering again when I run out anytime the price is at least in the ballpark of what I initially ordered it at, since I know it's *far* lower than what I've seen it for in any local store (which all tend to be $4+ / box for any of the Barbara's cereals).

(More customer reviews)I found these muffins in my local supermarket about six months ago. They were easy to make and they come in two more flavors however Banana Nut is the best. Considering the fiber I thought they would taste nothing like muffins but I was pleasantly surprised "no tree bark here". Needless to say I was not able to find Banana Nut flavor at any supermarkets any longer but Amazon "of course" has a pack of 4. I would definitely recommend this product you get the fiber you need in a way you can enjoy it.

(More customer reviews)My 3-year-old was introduced to PopTarts at a birthday party. She is not a big eater, so we try to squeeze something valuable into everything she eats. We tried the Fiber One brand in place of PopTarts, and to my surprise, my daughter (and husband) can't tell the difference (although these don't have sprinkles, they are frosted).
Both brands have 190-200 calories, 4-5 grams of fat, and 36-37g of carbohydrates. The difference is that the Fiber One version has 5 grams of fiber instead of 1 as in PopTarts.
So while these are not the most nutritious food choice out there, they are certainly better than the alternative. If they make the family happy while slipping a little fiber into their diets, than I'll continue to buy them.
