(More customer reviews)Note the bags are smaller than you are probably imagining.. I used more than 1 bag for 24 steam buns. This is a little sweeter than I'd like, but I'm sure all packaged bean paste is pretty sweet. It's very easy to squeeze out what you need, and you can avoid the canned taste. A bit expensive, but convenient and tasty. Also, in case you're confused by the suggestion to put this in soups like I was, this is quite sweet, and really just for desserts.

Adzuki Beans are a Chinese and Japanese favorite (also known as aduki) and have a similar flavor to red beans, but it is very delicious with less starchy. A good source of protein and fiber, they are delicious in soups and can be substituted for red and pinto beans in other tasty recipes. (More customer reviews)When I first tried these confections many years ago (in the early 90's) I instantly loved them. They are toasted sesame seeds bound together with a honey glazing. That is all - honey and sesame seeds. But boy are they good and addictive. The only negative side to this treat is that the four individual wafers contained in each package tend to stick together and sometimes they do not break away cleanly from each other. This is to be expected though given the nature of the ingredients and is a small inconvenience. The product is made in, of all places, Poland and I find it gratifying to be able to purchase a product from a country that has come so far, economically and socially, in the last 20 years. If you want a simple, delicious, and nutritious confection, look no further - this is it.
